CIMA DI PIAZZO – MONTE SODADURA PHOTO TREKKING

THE WONDER OF THE SUN

PROGRAM

The trek starts from the village of Moggio following the path n.725 that immediately enters the wood towards the Piani di Artavaggio - Rif. Cazzaniga Merlini and Rif. Nicola. This path is not particularly difficult even if in some places it has some rock steps to overcome, better if not the help of the sticks.

We continue on the same path that is indicated on the signposts with n. 24.

Arriving at the Piani di Artavaggio we continue along the cart track until we take the path, not binding, which leads us to the Cima di Piazzo. From here we can admire the astonishing landscape and photograph the sunset that magnificently illuminates all the peaks. Then we await dinner and overnight in a refuge.

The next morning we head instead to Monte Sodadura - whose climb is quite challenging and winds along the ridge where we find some rocks to be overcome carefully - not to miss the sunrise at the summit where the spectacle of the sunrise leaves ecstatic and , also in this case, the gaze can range in all directions enjoying the magnificent panorama and meeting the profiles of the Resegone, the Grigne, the Zuccone Campelli, the Pizzo dei Tre Signori, the Monte Aralalta and the Pizzo Baciamorti.

After breakfast we will return to Moggio following the same path as the previous day.

The program may undergo changes in the route in relation to weather conditions and requests from participants.

The trekking to Cima di Piazzo and Monte Sodadura takes place from spring to late autumn.
