VAL BIANDINO

OCTOBER 3rd 2018

A beautiful ring excursion in Val Biandino that runs along the Biandino riverbank to the Rifugio Santa Rita and to the Lago di Sasso and then reaches the Rifugio Grassi, descend along a section of the Dorsale Orobica Lecchese (path 101) and pass through the Rifugio Buzzoni.

A trekking in which different environments meet, from woods to meadows to rocks, and which takes place above all in the ridge. You then have the opportunity to photograph the mountains that surround the different valleys, including the impressive Pizzo dei Tre Signori. It is possible to meet wild animals (chamois, ibex, marmots).

PROGRAM

Departure and return to Introbio, lunch at Rifugio Grassi (for those who wish) or packed lunch.

The trek lasts the whole day and is quite challenging both for the differences in height and for the total duration, including the stops necessary to take photographs. It is therefore necessary to leave early in the morning even if you are already at high altitude during the hottest hours of the day. In addition, you pass through a couple of short stretches of easy equipped rocks, but where you have to pay attention, and the descent that leads from Passo del Toro to Passo del Gandazzo where the path is particularly disconnected and slippery.

The program may undergo changes in the route in relation to weather conditions and requests from participants.
